Sophomore Year- In Review
Sophomore Year was a huge year for me. As a second year student at UC, instead of the following the normal path of staying on campus, I chose to study abroad in Torino, Italy. By spending my Fall Semester taking International Business Courses, traveling around Italy, and immersing myself in another culture- I became a better person. Gaining independence and experiences of a lifetime, I found purpose worth pursuing. Fall Semester 2015 was invaluable in terms of growth as a person- ultimately becoming who I want to be, to myself and others. However, initially, studying abroad was the scariest thing I have ever done and trusting I made the right decision was difficult. After choosing to stay, I fell in love with Italy and at the end leaving was hard. Once back on campus for Spring Semester, I hit the ground running. With a full academic course load in Accounting and Finance, I began the Analytical Finance Track. Additionally, I become more involved with my H20 Church Community and even took my first Honors Seminar with a study tour component. In March, over Spring break, with my Folklore and Traditions Class I traveled to Reykjavik, Iceland. Ending the year, I become a University Honors Program Ambassador and secured my first Lindner Professional Experience as the UC Enterprise Risk Management Intern for the summer. I am proud of how far I have come throughout Sophomore Year and am excited for what lies ahead!
